Celebrating US!
Dear St. Matthew families and supporters,
February was a month of celebration! We started the month off by celebrating Catholic Schools week, and ended the month celebrating Mardi Gras- our school and parish fundraiser. This community was out in full force supporting each other.
Our students enjoyed each other's company in many school celebrations. Our parents enjoyed coming together at our school picnic. Our parishioners and school parents came together for the cause on Mardi Gras for a night of fun!
We are blessed to have been able to get together and enjoy each other's company and celebrate our amazing community!
Thanks to everyone who made our events possible- Catholic Schools week planning committee, PTO, and our Mardi Gras committees.

STAR testing- Reading and Math
The numbers above show the class average growth our students have made from Fall to Winter. We are so proud of our students and teachers for working so hard.
100 Days of School
SMART boards
We have been waiting for these since July. The wait is finally over. Our students and teachers will definitely benefit from this technology as it will allow so many more opportunities to display learning tools and allow for more interactive activities.
TWO's Day
Students wore tutus to commemorate the day, some did activities related to "two". Our second graders had an even bigger reason to celebrate, since they are in grade TWO!
At 2:22 we stopped and had a short dance party.

Volunteer of the Year
Employee of the Year
Our chairs- Diann Rausch, Joann Price, Ali Dibelka, and Missy McCool coordinated the event with Angelica McFall, Ashley Wynne, and Shannon Abboud as Vice-Chairs. Behind them were many volunteers including the Barnes family who did all the decorations.
The proceeds of this event will go to: supporting the school budget to alleviate some of the parish subsidy; supporting the school endowment; covering expenses for capital improvements on our aging facility; and helping increase teacher salaries.
We were so blessed to see 340+ people there supporting the cause. Thank you to everyone for supporting the event. The future looks bright for next year's event as Tom and Angelica McFall and Joe and Ashley Wynne co-chair.
See you next February!
