Cresthill will soon be hosting our Annual Food Drive to benefit the Backpack Society! Our Food Drive will be November 9-16! We are collecting four things: granola bars, mac and cheese, spaghetti sauce, and canned soups. The food we collect goes straight back to families in our very own community in need of food to last them through the weekend while they're not getting nutrition at school. Please have your students bring in food! There will be bins at the front door so kids can drop food off before even walking in our building in the mornings! Thank you for your support!
Also, bring your family, some dinner, and play Turkey Bingo on November 17th from 6:00-8:30pm in the CMS cafeteria! Bring in three of these items and get 10 bingo cards, 1 food item for one bingo card!
This week in Spanish, we continued practicing our Spanish subject pronouns and then learned our first verb. We learned that SER means “to be” and learned the six present conjugations for it. We can now say where anyone is from in Spanish. We will be tested on this next week with a speaking test as well as tested on our vocabulary with a writing test.
SAVE THE DATE!
Cresthill MS will be sponsoring its 5th annual TURKEY BINGO on Thursday, November 17th from 6:00pm to 9:00pm in the commons!! We are anticipating 200-300 participants (families, friends, and community members) to join us in our festivities!! We will have a large screen for the football game as part of our event!
Bingo contestants can either provide 3-cans of food for 10 playing cards OR $3.00 per player. Additional playing cards may be purchased either with one(1) can of food or $1.00. We will hold 10 rounds of bingo with a raffle drawing and some bad jokes in between each round. Bingo winners will receive a frozen turkey!!
Please plan on bringing the family, friends AND dinner and join the fun!
Hope to see you there!
