SIXTH FORM

FROM THE HEADS OF SIXTH FORM

Dear Parents,

Lessons have now come to an end for this academic year and we look forward to our enrichment week next week. The programme has been given to students and is shared with you below. The students are fully aware of our expectations for their attendance and we are sure they will find it of great benefit.

We wish you all a great summer and look forward to seeing you on the morning of results day, Thursday 18 August.

Our independent careers advisor, Helen Cole, will be available to speak with any students and/or parents needing advice following A Level results on Monday 22 August at the Senior Boys site. You can make an appointment to see her through Mrs Rogers on 18 August.

ROWING

Huge congratulations to Oliver Costley of Year 12, and Jonathan Cameron, Alex Richardson and Finlay Gronmark on their remarkable win to achieve the Fawley Cup at Henley. Well done also to coach Tom Jost.

Below are some pivotal moments, but loads more information and photos on our website.

RIDING PROGRESS

Last weekend Emily Richardson jumped as an individual and as part of a team in the Open Pony club area championships. Whilst the team did not qualify Emily on Espirito Santo managed to jump double clear at 1m10/1m15 and although she was the fastest in the jump off she unfortunately knocked the final jump. She came 3rd and has qualified for the National Pony club championships open class in August.

She has also jumped at Hickstead and Bolsworth International in appallingly muddy conditions where she had a lot of clear rounds and placings at both competitions.

She will be entering a number of competitions over the summer and hopefully we will have some good news. Emily and Rabbit are now becoming a more established combination and they should be heading for higher and higher jumps and more placings.

Come and see the Claires Court Shed Theatre’s production of ‘Coward’ this Summer.

He is the ultimate socialite but his Black Dog never leaves his side. In this ambivalent world of sex, song and wit, he exists to expose. But who is the real coward?

‘Highly entertaining and very moving'
