Update Your School Messenger Preferences
As we head into the winter weather season, stay on top of school closures by making sure your school has your correct contact information. Once you've verified your school knows how best to reach you, create an account in School Messenger to manage your communications preferences. Families can now opt-in to receive text messages as well.
We're hiring!
Minneapolis Public Schools is hiring licensed school bus drivers as well as people new to the industry. Earn $15/hour while you train to become a fully licensed driver! You'll become an MPS bus driver upon completion of training - with an automatic pay increase.
Here Comes The Bus App
Wondering when the school bus will arrive at your house? Download the free "Here Comes the Bus" app on your phone's app store and follow the set up instructions in the following links to get a notification when the bus enters your neighborhood.

What is your Favorite Car in the World?
Cars are the best thing to the human race because without them people wouldn't go anywhere in the winter time.
What would the world be like if we had no cars at all? Would we ever be the same? It would be like Donald Trump's toupee falling off!
Ford is the most Fantastic car maker in the world.

EMPLOYER OF THE MONTH
Cub Foods on Lake and Minnehaha
We would like to celebrate Cub Foods on Lake St. and Minnehaha Ave. S as our Employer of the Month. Tony Halek has been such a supportive manager and employer for many of our students coming from Transition Plus. He welcomes our student groups into the store to provide behind-the-scenes tours, and he has been open to interviewing almost all of our students who apply for jobs there.
On the job, students cashier, unpack merchandise, work in the deli, greet customers, help customers with their purchase orders, retrieve carts, and keep things tidy. They also learn about healthy foods along the way. Tony makes a concerted effort to give everyone a chance at working in this busy environment, and goes out of his way to encourage everyone to thrive and grow to their potential.
It’s wonderful to have such a positive business partner right here in our neighborhood!
If you know of any employers who would be interested hiring students or groups of students, Transition Plus is always looking for partnerships to expand vocational opportunities.
