How it was built
The Forbidden City took 14 year for construction and 1 million workers. It is made of logs of Phoebe Zhennan, large blocks of marble, the halls paved with golden bricks {baked bricks}.
History of the Forbidden City
It was the palace for the Ming dynasty then captured by Li Zicheng who was a fake emperor of the Shun dynasty. He ran away because by the armies chasing him. Part of the Forbidden City was burned in the process. All the artifacts in the museum in World War 2 was taken by Japan and part was returned.
