Students will review the expectations around be to class on time and what happens when students have repeated tardies during the week. Families should know this is something we track weekly and will send letters home for you to see. Families can also look on Infinite Campus to see your students attendance each week. If you ever have a questions about anything we encourage you to contact the teacher first.
Second Step Unit 1 Mindsets & Goals
Students learn how to develop a growth mindset and apply researched-based goal-setting strategies to their social and academic lives. This unit's content helps create classrooms that are connected and encouraging by helping students set and achieve collective and personal goals, learn from challenges, recognize their personal strengths, and explore the unique aspects of their identities.
Students get to select a fun enrichment activity created by our staff. Access happens once a month at Stilwell.
Students and families need to know that over the past week we have been installing new security cameras. These cameras will allow staff to keep our hallways safer by locating student who may be making poor choices. The cameras cover almost all common areas in the building and outside. We thank the District Leadership who has made safety in our school a high priority.
Stilwell and several other school that were impacted by the hail storm in September are getting their roofs replaced the same as many of the surrounding homes. This work will start mid- November and will impact our classrooms with noise. We need to get this done before it gets too cold. The good news the impact to our parking lot and space around the building will remain in the current construction site. We will only be impacted by trucks dropping off materials and the removal of the old roof. Please continue to be patient with all of the construction.
