Principal's Message
Dear Eagle Crest Families,
As you know, we are planning and getting ready for our annual fundraiser the Laps 4 Leadership event, which is put on by our fabulous Eagle Crest PTO. The PTO uses these funds to support field trips, special events, extended learning opportunities, and staff support. Each year our students raise money and run laps (this year on the Altona track!) as part of this fun community event. We’re excited to invite families to participate again this year and we’re looking forward to a crowd of cheerleaders on that day.
Warmly,
Amanda

Dean of Students Message
Hello Eagle Crest Families!
The spring weather has really kept us on our toes lately! I don't know about you, but I am looking forward to warmer weather and less wind. When the weather changes drastically from the morning to the afternoon, we collect a lot of items in the Lost and Found. We are going to be putting out the current collection of Lost and Found on Tuesday, April 19th, after school. Please come by and reclaim some of your lost items!
As the weather warms up, we expect there to be more lost jackets and sweatshirts. Feel free to stop by the front office after school and we will be happy to let you come search for items that have gone missing.
All the best,
Lindsey Cheney
Dean of Students

Arrival and Dismissal Safety Reminders
A unique part of Eagle Crest is that we are a neighborhood community school and all families can walk, bike, or drive for arrival and dismissal. Help us keep everyone safe (and the flow efficient) by following these guidelines.
Arrival- School starts at 8:35am and outdoor supervision begins at 8:20 sharp. When students arrive at school they are expected to line up outside by their classroom doors. The playground equipment is not open at this time. Students arriving after the tardy bell at 8:40am will need to enter the building through the front office.
Walkers/Bikers - Families are welcome to walk students to their classroom doors between 8:20 and 8:35am. If you are driving to school and want to walk your student to the classroom, please plan to park on Clover Basin Drive, and walk up. There is very limited parking in our staff lot and parking is not permitted in the Hug and Go.
Drivers - Families are also encouraged to use our Hug and Go drop off lane right in front of the main office. This is truly a “drive through experience” in which ECES staff will open your back door, and help unload kids so that you can drive off and get on with your day. Drivers are asked to remain in their vehicles and ECES staff will open car doors to help students unload and head to the school building. **Please note: The bus loop should not be utilized for student pick-up and drop-off.
Dismissal- Our final bell rings at 3:10pm and students are dismissed through their classroom doors. Families are welcome to meet students at their classroom doors. If you are driving for pick up, please park on Clover Basin to avoid congestion in front of the building.
