Health Examination and Immunization Requirements

Illinois School Code and Big Hollow School District Policy require a "student's parent(s) guardian(s) to present proof of their child's health examination and immunizations by October 15 of a year in which such proof is required. Failure to comply with the above requirements by October 15 will result in the student's exclusion from school until the required health forms are presented to the district. Each school nurse is contacting parents of students who do not have the required proof on file. Please contact the primary nurse, Ms. Lee at 847-740-5320 extension 3005 or the elementary nurse, Ms. Lumpkins at 847-740-5321 extension 4005 if you have any questions regarding required health forms.

2018-19 Yearbook

Order your yearbook now! The primary/elementary yearbook will be available for purchase thru March 22, 2019. Yearbooks will be delivered to students before the last day of school in 2019.

Child Drop Off Procedures


Drop off time for students at primary and elementary begins at 8:30 am. When using the drop off lane, please be sure that students exit the vehicle on the curb side. Parents may not exit the vehicle. Be sure students only exit when your car is parked between the two crosswalks. We can best ensure the safety of all students, parents, and staff when our drop off procedures are followed. The drop off lane is closed at 8:45 am to allow for the preK buses to drop off students. Please DO NOT pull into the drop off lane behind a bus. If you arrive at Big Hollow after 8:45 am, please park in the lot and walk your child into the school building.

Child Pick Up Procedures

If you are picking up your child from school, you must notify the school office by 2:15 pm. You can call earlier in the day, or even, days ahead of time. It is also very helpful to send your child's teacher a note in the agenda or an email.

If you have an emergency situation occur after 2:15 pm, please notify the office and an exception will be made.

Volo Sportsplex Enrichment Club

If you are interested in having your child bussed to Volo Sports Plex on early release Fridays (first and third Friday of each month) please click here to fill out the paperwork and click here to complete the waiver and release of all claims form. Both are required for students to attend the after school enrichment! Please contact:
