The Distance Learning Room will be a dedicated space during Ramadan for prayer or to avoid the lunchroom for those observing.
Reminder to all students: The Distance Learning Room is not a place to eat lunch. Lunch spaces are the cafeteria, on Main Street, and outside under the bridge. Please respect this expectation.
All students will take the post-belonging survey during FLEX today. The survey link is in your email.
Just a friendly reminder that Junior prom tickets are on sale ONLY until Friday March 31st! We will be able to sell tickets in person until Wednesday, April 5th in room 402 (Mrs. Allison) or 322 (Ms. Sliwoski). Ticket sales must be closed on that date to ensue an accurate count for the venue.
Unity Day is coming up! We are looking for RMHS Students to participate in the Unity Day Assembly led by Mr. Jamele Adams. If you want to share poetry, spoken work, art skills or any other talents on stage please email Ms. Buckley
You are invited to The Playwriting Showcase On Friday, March 31st at 7 p.m. in the RMHS PAC. You will see student plays written and directed by Astrid Puff, Grace Brown, Hannah Record, Natalie Medeiros, Nina Taubman, Alana Doroquez, and Chloe Walker. This performance is stage managed and designed by Bella Sagesse, Paul Sorgi, and Ryla Demers. Best of all - it’s free!
A special congratulations to Astrid Puff, Grace Brown, and Hannah Record who will have their plays performed at Boston Playwright's Theatre as a part of BPT's New Noises Student Playwriting Festival. Equity directors and actors in Boston will work with these three students to bring their writing to life on stage!

Attention recycling club members: Please stop by at the START of today's flex to take a quick yearbook photo. We have one, but it doesn't have everybody included so let's redo it quickly today.
We are having a College and Career Fair! This is a great opportunity to get information you need to help with your post high school years. There will be college representatives to speak with and career opportunities to hear about. We hope to see you on March 16, 6:30pm-8:30pm in the field house.
Dungeons and Dragons club is holding informational meetings tomorrow, March 7th, and Thursday, March 9th. Players of any level are welcome to join. Meetings will be held after school until 4, in room 201 tomorrow, and in the library on Thursday.
Do you love Chipotle? Come help the Habitat for Humanity club raise money for local ReStores and Habitat for Humanity International by eating dinner at the Chipotle in WOBURN on Wednesday, March 15th from 4pm to 8pm. Flyers are all around the school with the code you should give to order online and pick up, or to dine in and support this cause. Bring a group and eat a lot!!
It is Tournament Time!!! Please come and support your school and cheer for the Rockets! Good luck to our Boys Hockey team on Wednesday 3/8/23. Tickets at both venues can only be purchased online. Thursday 3/2 during Flex Block seniors are invited to attend an internship fair for their 4th quarter senior year. If you have a job or know a company that you would like to intern at, please fill out an application that was emailed to you and is also on the website. All internship applications are due via email to Ms. Buckley by 3/16. Reach out if you have any questions.
There will be a Boys tennis informational meeting on Tuesday Feb 28 at 3:15 pm in the Cafeteria.

Any sophomores and juniors interested in learning more about the service learning trip to Costa Rica next year should attend one of the information sessions during Flex today in Room 334. Please request a Smartpass from Mrs. Williams in English to attend.
The Rocket Closet is stocked! Any students in need of clothing or toiletries can discreetly take whatever they need for free from the Rockets Closet in the Guidance Office. The Closet is in the back near the guidance counselors' offices.

Congratulations to Eli Schank and Christian Cha for a 5th place finish in Disease Detectives at the Science Olympiad tournament at Harvard on Saturday.
- Who will be crowned this year's Misster RMHS? Any interested students should attend an informational meeting this Thursday 2/2 during Flex in Mrs. Hopkinson's room 514. All talents, skits, and special skills are welcome!
- The sophomore class will be selling semi formal tickets starting Monday February 6th at all three lunches. The cost is 25 dollars a ticket, cash or check accepted.
- The DECA club will be holding a pop-up shop selling RMHS lanyards for 5 dollars and phone wallets for 3 dollars at all three lunches and during FLEX block in room 324 starting Monday February 6th to Friday February 10th.
- The RMHS Drama Club presents This is a Test and An Actors Nightmare! This two-show comedic event is not one to miss. Come see the shows February 10th and 11th at 7:30, and the 12th at 2. Buy tickets online at rmhsdrama.org, at the door, or at lunch this and next week.

- Congratulations to Team Haggarty who earned the title of Rocket Boys volleyball champs at Friday's first annual boys Volleyball tournament. Thank you to all the participants for a fun day!
- 4x200-Kamryn Encarnacao, Carissa Carciero, Audrey Thornton and Sedona Skenderian were Runners of the Meet, broken the 2008 RMHS school record and came in 1st withe a time of 1:46.12. Best time in the State this year!!!! 4x400 places 6th. Caroline Gallegos, Sam Maher, Kaitlyn Drummey and Julia Barbato.Sedona places 4 th in the 300 and Katie Caraco placed 5th in the Long Jump.The 4x800 of Camryn Rafuse, Emma Reid, Kate Stepler and Ava Goodwin ran a great race and qualified for the Dll state meet!Great day for all the girls.
- This Thursday, January 26, the RMHS GSA will be hosting a free screening of the 1990 documentary Paris is Burning. This film is a look into the New York City ballroom scene, a LGBTQ+ subculture prominent during the 80s. Please see Ms. Cunningham in room 328 for permission forms to attend the viewing.
- Attention all Freshmen and Sophomores who took and paid for their CPR Certification in PE Class. Your certificates have been emailed to your school email

- Congrats to the Girls Indoor Track Team. They came in 7th in the State Relays. The 4x200 of Kamryn Encarnacao, Carissa Carciero, Audrey Thornton and Sedona Skenderian placed 1st. Kamryn Encarnacao, Katie Caraco, Audrey Thornton and Sedona Skenderian came in 5th in the shuttle dash. Audrey , Katie and Antonia Zagami came in 5th in the long jump and Katie, Jess Hayes and Megan Shanahan came in 6th in the high jump.

- This week's High Five Award goes to Timmy Failla! Congratulations, Timmy. If you see Timmy in the hall don't forget to stop and give him a high five.
- All seniors must attend the alumni panel in the PAC during FLEX on Thursday 1/5. There is no senior privilege during flex on Thursday as we will hear from a group of our newly graduated alumni about their transition to life after highschool.

The Reading high Wrestling team had some great wins in competition this weekend from Jakob Maher, Colton Blomquist, Austin McClosky , Will Merkle, Sami Kourbali, and Josh Robichaud. Next meet is at Gloucester this Wednesday.

Dodgeball is back, December 20th and 22nd during flex block! Form your team of 8-10 players, $10 per player by Friday, December 16th. Proceeds will benefit a local Ukrainian refugee family. Cards4Kindness will be meeting tomorrow morning Thursday December 8th in room 341 at 8AM. We will be making inspirational cards. All are welcome.
- This Thursday December 8th Wood End is having an event - Cookie Walk from 5:30 to 7:30 and are looking for high school volunteers who may need community service hours or are just looking to help out. If you’re interested, stop by the office in between classes and let us know!
- The winter guard is hosting their spin day today Monday, December 5th! Come down to Wood end elementary school from 6 to 9 pm to try out your flag skills! No experience is necessary!
- For all students going on the RMHS Ski Club trip December 18th, there is a mandatory meeting Tuesday, December 6th at 8:10am in room 207. If you cannot make it, please talk to Ms. S in room 207
- With the Holiday season approaching, many are in need of basic necessities. From December first to December nineteenth, the Girl Rising club is hosting their annual shelter drive for the women of the Finex House. The club will be collecting items such as toiletries, socks, blankets, diapers, gift-cards, and more. Donation boxes are located at RMHS: outside the main office and classroom 341. Thank you for your support
- The Reading Food Pantry needs your help to restock the shelves from Thanksgiving and prepare for the holidays. There is a collection box in the main entrance to donate food. Donations can include any packaged or canned goods, and are due by Friday, December 9th.

Please bring in new or gently used, small stuffed animals. Boxes will be located outside of Officer Lewis and Cooper's office as well as the Reading police station. Bring in your stuffed animals by Friday, January 6th!
