General information
- Please talk to Mrs. Justice (justicet@sherrard.us) or Ms. Bennin (benninj@sherrard.us) if you have any questions.
- Due to the high volume of Chromebook repairs, we will only give out a loaner for students who left their Chromebook at home or need their Chromebook charged if we have eight or more loaners left. We will always give out loaners for repairs.
- If you find a lost Chromebook, please bring it to the library.
- Teen Advisory Board meets every Friday before school. Everyone is welcome to join!
- The Sherrard public library also has a lot of January Events.
- Our January lunch craft will be painting inspirational rocks, please look for posters and announcements with more details soon!
A Light in the Darkness Albert Marrin
A nonfiction book that details the life of Janusz Korczak and his refusal to leave orphans behind in the Warsaw Ghetto. He instead, when to the camps with the children. Students interested in WWII or the Holocaust should check this out.

Focus Electronic Resource: Worldbook Online Timeline
The timeline feature of Worldbook online allows students to look at events, or biographies of famous people, in a visual timeline format. Please see the video below for additional information.
Focus Fiction: Fantasy
Students that enjoy worlds that have been created by the author should check out a fantasy novel. There is a wide variety of topics and features of the genre, but often fantasy novels include at least one of the following concepts: dragons, quests, magic, superheroes, supernatural creatures, talking animals, or a basis in mythology.
Focus Nonfiction Section: 500's
The 500s are where you can find nonfiction books on math and science topics. There is a wide range of books in the section, from encyclopedias to books on individual science and math topics.
