Reading Tip - Text Features in Non-fiction
We have been working on reading non-fiction text. When your child reads non-fiction please make sure your child not just reads it, but looks at all the features in the text, such as bold words, pictures, charts, graphs, and headings. You can even have your child look at those first, before reading, and tell you what they think the article will be about.
Inclement Weather!
This is the time of year when we may have some snow or bad weather. If there is inclement weather you should get a Connect-Ed phone or text message. If not, please check the local TV stations or radio stations to see if Loudoun County schools are delayed or closed. You can also check the LCPS website for closing information. Please remember that students still need to complete any homework they can on snow days. Thanks!
