A Note the Nurse's Office
In order to follow our guidance from the Department of Health and our district "Back to School Playbook," thank you for your help to ensure students are symptom-free when coming to school.
A negative PCR result is required if your child has or is sent home with any of the following probable symptom/s:
•Fever or Chills
•Cough
•Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
•Fatigue
•Muscle or body aches
•Headache
•Sore throat
•New loss of taste or smell
•Congestion or runny nose
•Nausea or vomiting
•Diarrhea
Once a negative PCR is obtained and your child is symptom-free, that may return to school. If you choose not to obtain a covid test for your child, your child should isolate for 10 days.
If a household member is symptomatic, your child must stay home until a negative PCR is obtained by the symptomatic family member.
To make an appointment please call 1-844-857-1814; or 401-222-8022. You can also make an appointment on the portal @ portal.ri.gov and the test center closest to Bristol/Warren is located at Barrington shopping Center.

BWRSD Literacy Link
Dear K-5 Families, Welcome to a new school year! Bristol Warren is excited to jump “into reading” with your student. In fact, Into Reading is the name of the new comprehensive core ELA program we are implementing this year! This newsletter provides information on how you can help your child master grade-level literacy skills by reinforcing concepts taught in the classroom. Research shows that a strong school-to-home connection improves student learning! Please try the literacy activities linked here with your child this week. The Scholastic Book Fair will be taking place this fall from September 27th to October 1st. Your child/children will be visiting the book fair during their library class. There will be no evening hours for the book fair this fall.
A new option for students and families this year is the eWallet. Book Fair eWallet is a digital payment option that’s a safe, convenient alternative to cash. It's easy to create an eWallet for students to shop the Fair. The account owner simply adds funds and/or invites family and friends to contribute. At the time of checkout, the eWallet account can be looked up on the register or scanned for payment.
After the Fair, remaining eWallet funds are not returned to a credit card but instead, become a gift card balance that can be used online with Scholastic or to fund an eWallet for a future Book Fair. Be sure to sign in with the same email used to create the eWallet.
This book fair will benefit the Hugh Cole Library, and therefore all students attending Hugh Cole. Money will be used to purchase new and exciting fiction and non-fiction books, as well as graphic novels.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us. We look forward to having your child/children at the Fall Scholastic Book Fair!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Courtney Bosco - courtney.bosco@bwrsd.org
