Tiger Times
The news about Nichols Middle School you NEED to know!
March 11th - March 15th
Tiger Times is a weekly news bulletin written to inform parents, students, and the Middleboro community about all of the wonderful things happening at Nichols Middle School.
March 14th is Pi Day!
Pi Day is celebrated on March 14th around the world. Pi (Greek letter “π”) is the symbol used in mathematics to represent the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter — which is approximately 3.14159. π is an irrational number — it can't be written as a fraction of two integers. It is non-terminating and non-repeating decimal. Our students use this number in math class all the time - just ask your son or daughter. We (or math department) encourage you to celebrate PI day at home enjoying your favorite pie.
Mrs. Borges' Class Conducts Interviews
Mrs. Borges' class has begun their Argument Unit. They use the interviews as a way of demonstrating the ability to collect evidence, as well as select credible sources.
