PARENT MEETING FOR BLENDED AMERICAN HISTORY CLASS

7th Grade Parents:

Tison Middle School will be offering a new program in the fall called Blended American History. Entrance into this course will be a highly competitive process as we have had over 100 students express an interest, and there are 25 spots available. If your student has expressed an interest in this program, we will be having a parent meeting that must be attended by at least one parent on Thursday, April 7 at 6:00 PM in the cafeteria in order for your student to be considered for the course. Not attending the meeting will disqualify the student from entrance into the course.

At this meeting, we will give an explanation of a blended course, an overview of the course, and answer any questions that you may have.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the teacher James Gibbens at jgibbens@weatherfordisd.com.

PARENT MEETING FOR ARENA SCHEDULING

There will be a parent meeting for arena scheduling on April 18th at 6:00 PM at the Ninth Grade Center. Arena scheduling opens for 8th grade the following morning at 6:30 AM for those who register off-campus and at 7:30 AM for those who would rather register here at Tison. (Please check in at the main office first.)

The window for registering will close on April 22nd. Many class choices are made on a "first come, first serve basis" so it is important to attend the parent meeting and to register as quickly as possible.

If you would like more information on "arena scheduling" please contact Gwen Ward (Tison Counselor) at gward@weatherfordisd.com. The WISD video below can also help explain "arena scheduling":
