THANK YOU PTA!
LTE FIELD DAY!
I also want to thank all of the staff members who helped. The specials team, Ms. Pace, Ms. Koslow, Ms. Dowell, Ms. Dolmanet and Ms. Morrow put the whole thing together and created appropriate games for each grade level. Our office staff, made sure all of our remote students were met by their teacher and class to attend and get home safely. Ms. Reed took all of the great pics. There are so many, I couldn't share them all here. Looking through them all, I smiled so much my face began to hurt. Huge thanks also to our custodial staff who worked very hard to clean up after all of the fun and to our maintenance staff who got the water leak taken care of early Wednesday morning.
After such a crazy year, fun and happy memories are just what we need. Thank you all, LTE teachers, staff, PTA and parents, for giving our children great memories of our time together. I hope that these happy memories become treasures in each of our hearts to be remembered on the tough days.
Safety First
We appreciate everyone's cooperation and patience during drop off and dismissal. It's been a long year and we are all doing the best we can.
House Bill 347: Prohibits the use of cell phones while driving on school property during reduced speed time zones in order to improve pedestrian safety. The ban applies to any school property where a school crossing zone is present. The only exceptions to the law are when the vehicle is stopped, the driver is using a hands-free device, or if the individual is in the process of making an emergency call or operating an emergency vehicle.
If you have any questions, concerns or helpful feedback, please call the school. Thank you.
5th Grade Send Off Parade: May 28th
In keeping with the COVID protocols, visitors will not be allowed in the building. We will bring the celebration outside in the form of a parade. After an informal awards ceremony, pictures and fun in the classrooms, students will be led through the building and outside the school for a "Send Off Parade". We would love for parents and family members to line the school parking lot and cheer our students on. (See map below.) Parents can snap photos, make signs, and wave and cheer from the designated areas.
7:50-8:00 Transition to bleachers in the gym.
8:00-9:30 Awards Ceremony
9:30-10:00 Fun and pictures in the classroom.
10:00-10:30 "Send Off Parade" in hallways and outside for parents
In-person and remote parents will park in the far parking lot nearest to HWY 620. Students will exit the building at approximately 10:00, walk the entire parade route and return to the building. Parents will be allowed to check their student out of school after the parade.
