Keep Calm and Carry On!
Break Spaces at the Ramona
Sometimes we just need a little break!
Imagine being hugely successful in your everyday life. Things are going well, you have a tight schedule, you clearly understand and can manage what is thrown at you. Now head to Kindergarten. The transition to Kindergarten is one of the most difficult of a young childĀ“s life. Once a happy go lucky 4 year old, now your time is micromanaged, you have to learn a lot of new expectations and to top it off you actually have to share things!! We expect a lot of our Kindergarteners and we know that they are up for the challenge, but it is important to remember that sometimes we all need a break.
Students can work on relaxing if they are getting frustrated or upset or can just remove themselves from a stressful situation. Sensory break spaces help to give students a positive space to go when they are struggling in class and allow teachers a tool to support all students and their individual needs.
