E-Learning Updates
Welcome back from spring break! We hope the first week back from break was positive. As we look to maximize the learning experience for the remaining weeks of school, teachers have been planning to meet with students in small groups. This allows them the opportunity to work with and provide feedback to all kids in a more responsive way. Teachers have been carefully planning instruction in an effort to maintain high standards for learning and growth while also remaining thoughtful of challenges each family may be facing. Please continue to communicate with us regarding needs, questions, celebrations or feedback you have. We appreciate that you are encouraging and supporting your child as they remain actively involved in school!
New questions come up as the quarantine continues. We thank you for your patience and understanding as many of these questions simply can not be answered at this time. The district has created a FAQ document that is regularly updated when additional information becomes available. Please be sure to reference this document for on-going questions. The link to this document is below. Please know that we are working quickly at both the district and building level to get you the information you need in order to plan next steps.
In an effort to maintain connection with our kids, Mrs. Landez, Miss Magill, Mrs. Morgan and I are planning to prepare a weekly video for both students and families. Look for this video to be included in the newsletter each week. We are also asking that teachers share the video with students and families. Remember that we are here to support kids unconditionally and want to also support families as much as possible during this uncertain time. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us for support.

Playground Update
We are excited to share that after lots of hard work and collaboration, we are fully funded to begin Phase 1 of our playground renovations! This first phase includes the removal of old equipment on our south playground and the installation of an Explorer Dome! Work on this should begin early summer so it is ready for our Patriots in August.
Huge thank yous go out to our awesome 2nd grade students and teachers, our wonderful PTO, Mrs. Kelly Childs, PTO Playground Project Chair, and our incredible community. We couldn't have done this without all of you! Thank you!
