The Buzz at Westbrook School

April 28, 2023

From the Principal...

Dear Westbrook Families,

It is hard to believe that May is next week. We only have a few short weeks of school left, but we have a lot of fun activities and learning planned. Our first grade students are working on their plant unit this week. They are excited to go outside to our courtyard to plant seeds that will germinate in the classroom. Kindergarten and Early childhood students are learning about nature and spring. These themes are getting everyone excited about the warm weather.

Don’t forget to stop by our STEAM Family Night next Tuesday, May 2nd from 5:30-7:00 pm. Our technology coach, Kim Stortz, and our art teacher, Marti Meyers, have fun activities planned for the whole family. There will also be a first grade art display for families showcasing all of the impressive art the students created this year.

This week we celebrated our amazing administrative professionals. If you see our secretary, Sue Sipko and our clerical assistants, Kris Gorby and Karin Schmit, make sure to thank them for all of their hard work.

As always, please reach out to the front office or call me directly if you need anything. We are looking forward to a great last month of school.

For your children,

Danielle Crandall

Shout Out to David Biedrzycki AND the Westbrook PTO

Mr. Biedrzycki was so engaging and fun. He even stopped in the LRC to chat with the kids. He was so impressed with the students and their creations hanging in and outside of the LRC.

THANK YOU again to our wonderful PTO for funding the amazing author visit!

Having an in-person author visit after years of Zoom...priceless!
