The New Google Earth
A new version of Google Earth was released last week. Good news! This new version now works on Chromebooks. Not only does it offer pre-made tours of places all over the world, but also includes information about each location you view. You can explore on your own or let Google Earth take you away on an adventure.
Check out this video of the new Google Earth.
Important Information from Seesaw for Parents
Many of you have used Seesaw this year. Parents will have access to their child's file for 60 days after you archive a class. For instructions to send to parents on how to save their child's work, please read this article on Seesaw's Help Center. It might be helpful to send the instructions to parents at the end of the year. The article can also be found under Seesaw on the Elementary Cheat Sheet for Technology in your HCS Bookmarks folder in Chrome.
Retiring or Moving?
This is the time of year that some teachers will decide to retire or leave. There is a Help Doc in the Elementary Cheat Sheet. We advise not waiting until the last minute. The process does take awhile especially if your Google Drive has a lot of documents. It is also critical teachers completely wipe their teacher and classroom set of iPads. Otherwise, the iPads will become useless to the next teacher.
