A Note from Mrs. Wagner
Welcome to the 2019-2020 School Year! We are so excited for the students to return to the building! This newsletter will be a simple introduction to our newest staff members and some information to start off our school year.
The Sequiota Scoop is adjusting to a monthly newsletter this year. It will be sent out the last Friday of the month throughout the year. Starting in September the PTA monthly newsletter will be linked to the Scoop as well. Please plan to read your child's teacher's weekly newsletter to stay up to date on the happenings at Sequiota.
Volunteers:
- We are so lucky to have strong parent involvement at Sequiota. It is district practice that ALL volunteers that volunteer in our building during the school day (including those volunteering with PTA) or that attend field trips must complete a volunteer background check.
- If you do not have a current background check on file, please start the process by filling out the volunteer application linked at the bottom of this newsletter.
- Thank you for your commitment to safety in our schools.
Visitors:
- Please remember during school hours ALL visitors must enter the building through the office (even if they have a prearranged meeting) and check-in through the Hall Pass system to print your visitor badge.
- Office hours are 8:00-4:00 pm
- The first time to visit our building, Mrs. Melba will have to scan your government issued i.d. to add your name to our Hall Pass System. After this initial registration visitors will be able to print their own badges by entering their name into the kiosk (located in the foyer) and printing their visitor badge.
- All visitors must sign out of the Hall Pass system on their way out of the building.
- Our office will be open during Meet the Teacher and Open House if you would like to come down and register in our Hall Pass System.
Sequiota Behavior Expectations

This document outlines our behavior expectations for every area of the building.
Teachers will begin teaching these expectations to our students during the first week of school and will continue to reteach these expectations throughout the school year.
