Food for Thought
The mission of the Food For Thought Project is to provide nutritious food (free of charge) for the weekend to those students who receive government funded free/reduced breakfast and lunches at school. We also offer it to ANY student at Maplewood Elementary School. Foods are selected that can be prepared by the students if needed. Proper nutrition on weekends has been shown to lead to improved attention and performance at the beginning of the school week. If you are interested in signing up for this program, please stop by and visit the Food for Thought table that will be set up by the pavilion at Open House.
