Winter Solstice Tree is Back
Again, this year, Cambridge is teaming up with Fulton County DFACS to give gift cards to teenagers who are in foster care. Often teens are the “forgotten ones” on holiday lists as they are not easy to shop for and are not the first picked from an angel tree, or they receive leftover gift intended for an eight-year-old.
This will be the 4th year that Cambridge has participated, and each year we have raised more money than the year before. Last year we raised over $5,400 (up from $2,600 the previous year) in gift cards by word of mouth through a few classes. This year we are looking to go even bigger.
For those interested in participating (teachers, students, parents): stop by Mr. Schuler’s room (2801) and pick up a solstice tree from his back wall and return it with your gift card (either in a gift bag or wrapped in a small box) by Friday, December 6, 2019.
If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Schuler at schulerm@fultonschools.org.

Second Semester PAWS
During Study Hall on Wednesday, November 13, and Friday, November 15, students will be offered the opportunity to make a change to their PAWS for the second semester. They will need to have their device for study hall on those days if they would like to make a change. If they do not complete a form, they will stay in their current PAWS. A few of the new offerings include: The Philosophy of Star Wars, Off the Grid (socializing with no devices), ESPN’s “30 for 30” (the sports documentaries), and by popular demand, a second “The Office” hit show PAWS will be added as well.
Apply for Free to Georgia Southern University
During November, students can apply to the 80 undergraduate degree programs without the $30 application fee. Please submit your applications for free at the Office of Admissions. View the Virtual Campus Experience to get to know GSU students.
If you have any questions, please reach out to the office at 912.478.5391 or admissions@georgiasouthern.edu.
