Principal Message
Dear Henking families:
We have just completed our first week of adaptive pause and I hope that everyone has experienced a smooth transition. Please review the adaptive pause reminders in this memo.
Also, in this memo you will find information for picking up your child’s Color Portraits packet for those who have pre-ordered. If you did not pre-order, you can pick up your child’s complimentary postcard calendar with a ticket code should you want to order pictures at a later time.
Lastly, please know our school office staff and administrators will continue to work in the building during the pause, so please feel free to reach out to us if you need to.

Please come to our Henking front entrance starting on Monday, December 7th through Friday, December 11th from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm to pick up your child’s prepaid picture package or complimentary postcard calendar with your child’s individualized ticket code number. The bin containing these materials will be organized in alphabetical order by last name and will be outside for you to help yourself to your child’s items. How can families continue to support during adaptive pause?
Dedicate a learning space at home. A space that is ready for learning (has supplies including pencils) and in view of an adult.
Provide breakfast/lunch prior to beginning the session.
Limit distractions when possible (turn off the television, use headphones, etc.).
Ensure your child regularly attends classes, just like when we are in-person
“Commute” to work; take a walk before or after school to get some exercise and be ready for learning or power down after a long day.
