Today, students were given an list of options for thier newest social studies project. The project will be independently completed outside of class. Students will do all research in class on the Industrial Revolution, but this project will require that they take what the learn and connect it to issues that we face today. Last week, I sent home a note about Nov. meetings for our learning expedition. Students are asked to attend as many of those meets as they can. We will be creating watercolor paintings of our organisms. So, it will take us a while to draw out the organism and learn to use the watercolor paints. It would be great if students could bring an old shirt to put on during those meetings. If anyone would like to make a donation toward this, we are going to be using 400count watercolor paper, it comes in a tablet and drawing pencils. I have written a grant to help pay for some of the costs, but have not heard back from the district.
We will have short quizzes weekly on social studies and science content over the next several weeks. Students should study their class notes. I will let them know the dates.
