SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT March 29th, 2020
Last Call for Device Requests
Hi Wildcat Families,
Please be sure to sign up if you need a device for our Digital Learning Opportunities. As per Dr. Schiele's message below, this will be the last opportunity.
Dear LOSD Community,
This message is a reminder to please submit all device requests for your student(s) by completing this survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/66T3GST by the end of the day today.
LOSD is preparing for a last round of device pickups from Lake Oswego High School next Wednesday, April 1, 1-4 p.m. It is one pick up location for students of all schools. Please be sure to print, complete and sign the check out form when coming to pick up a device. If you do not have access to a printer at home, you may complete a form at the pickup. Please read below for more answers to frequently answer questions.
Within the next few days we will be sending details on what you and your student may expect and how to prepare for the coming month. Digital learning opportunities will begin for students on Thursday, April 2.
Thank you for your responsiveness as we prepare for your students.
Dr. Jennifer Schiele, Assistant Superintendent, LOSD
P.S. Please continue reading if you have questions:
Please know a computer or laptop at home can serve as instructional devices. You are not required to pick up a school-issued device to participate in LOSD digital learning opportunities.
Please do not hesitate in requesting a device for your student. We are fortunate in LOSD to be able to equip each and every student with an instructional learning device.
Please complete the new survey to obtain a new device and charger if your middle schooler has a broken Chromebook and/or a missing charger (and you have not found one to purchase in time),
Please ask a friend or neighbor for assistance if you are unable to make it to Lake Oswego High School during this last pickup. As long as a parent or guardian completes and signs the checkout form, another person may pick up a device on their behalf.
Please be assured you do not need a printer at home. Digital learning opportunities will not require students to access additional devices, such as printers. We will not have any additional devices at pick up.
Please know that hotspots are only for families who do not have any Internet access at home. We will be in contact with those families as soon as they arrive. We understand many people trying to work from home will put demands on bandwidth. The digital learning opportunities will be flexible, allowing your students to be online at different and various times throughout the day to accommodate your family's schedule.
