Three movements/ stretches that are good for the Gastrocnemius muscle are… The standing calf raise, seated calf machine, and standing dumbbell calf raise.

Why Its Important

Three reasons why it’s important to do these stretches are because you don’t want to pull a calf muscle. Also you don’t want a calf muscle tear. Finally you don’t want Rhabdomyolysis. That is when your calf muscle breaks down due to long- term pressure, drug side effects, or a severe medical condition. This usually affects more than just the Gastrocnemius muscle.
