2017 Holiday Service Project - Mitten Tree

Prairie Vista Elementary School will be participating in a holiday service project that will benefit families in the Prairie Vista and Penn-Harris-Madison community. We will have a Mitten Tree in the office and each mitten will have a short description of the child's age, boy or girl, clothing size and /or toys. If you would like to purchase a gift, please stop by our mitten tree the week of November 20th and pick up a mitten. All you have to do is register your mitten with the office staff, buy your gift, and return the gift with the mitten on the outside of the package to the office by Monday, December 11th. Please do not wrap the gifts. If you would like to make a monetary contribution, we will gladly accept those as well in the office.

If you would like for your child to pick a mitten from the tree, please fill out the permission slip.

In addition to sponsoring families, we are accepting clean, gently used clothing, coats/outerwear, and boots to donate to schools that have children in need. Also, we will collect games, in good condition, to donate. Please label the gently used items as “school donations” so we can separate them from the gifts.

We really appreciate the giving attitude of our families and staff! Any support for Prairie Vista and Penn-Harris-Madison community families would be very much appreciated.

If you have any questions, please email Sarah Sage at ssage@phm.k12.in.us

5th Grade Musical - "Welcome to the 50's"

Our 5th grades wowed the crowd with their performance of, "Welcome to the 50's". From classic musical numbers, to choreographed dances, poodle skirts and Elvis himself, the 5th grade did not disappoint.

Thank you to Mrs. Gallo and all of the 5th grade students for their countless hours of practice to make this musical a huge success!

2017 Thank-A-Teacher for the Holiday!

You may Thank-A-Teacher (or recognize ANY PHM employee) with a truly meaningful gift. A donation to the PHM Education Foundation Grant Fund tells your child's "special Person" that you honor him/her and value education at PHM. Your contribution to the Grant Fund will be returned to the schools in the form of teacher grants for programs and projects that cannot be funded through school budgets.

Your child's "Special Person" will receive a holiday greeting and special pin telling him/her the name of the donor (not the amount given). All contributions to the Foundation are tax deductible, please contact the office if you would like a tax receipt. To learn more about the PHM Educational Foundation, visit www.phmef.org.

Take Home Folder

Anytime our students take important information home (permission slips, calendars, order forms, etc...) a copy of these documents can always be found online. Under the School Info tab, there is the page "Take Home Folder" at the bottom. When you click on it, it will take you to all these printable documents. This is a terrific resource if you ever lose your copy or need additional copies. If there is ever something you believe should be on this page for others to access, please call or email (ssage@phm.k12.in.us) Sarah Sage in the office 271-0055 ext. 51711 so she may evaluate the form and if approved, post it to this page.

Thank you parents and welcome back!
