MTMS Wolf Wire
For the Week of Nov. 23
Students and Parents,
The Board of Education held a special meeting on Monday evening, November 16, to consider a recommendation pertaining to the Kansas Schools Gating Criteria. At the meeting, the Board took action to identify the district as being in the Orange Category of the criteria and to modify the learning environment for our students.
Beginning November 30, 2020, MTMS will shift to the remote learning environment.
As a result of this shift, we will no longer have cohorts with A and B days. All middle school students will attend virtually Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. We will, however continue to follow our regular. bell schedule where students will Zoom into each class.
Additionally, in an effort to support students in this environment we will also continue with our Extended Leraning Time (8th hour) and students who have no missing assignments will be able to sign off once attendance has been taken. Students with missing assignments will be expected to stay on the extended learning time zoom from 2:35 - 3:05.
P.E. is the only course that will be taught asynchronously. If a student is currently enrolled in P.E. they will have time to take a physcial/mental break from Zoom during their P.E. class period.
Only a few spots left...
We will continue our PTA tradition of giving a pie to every staff member at MTMS before Thanksgiving break. Please click on the link below to donate a pie.https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0c4ba9ae22abf58-thanksgiving
