Principal's Message
Dear Parents/Guardians,
I am excited to move into the role of Interim Principal of Cold Springs for the remainder of the school year. Mrs. Debbie Harris will join the administrative team as Interim Assistant Principal. We are both long-time educators in the district and are honored to lead the Cold Springs family.
Look for our Cold Springs Elementary School Facebook page. Be sure to like and follow the page. We will be posting all of the wonderful activities that take place at Cold Springs on a daily basis. In fact, just yesterday, Phillies broadcaster, Gregg Murphy, visited with our 3rd graders to talk about being a newscaster.
Some of the special events and activities this month include a visit from a guide dog and his owner to Mrs. Fox’s class (2/5); the Mother Goose assembly for kindergartners (2/21) and the First Grade VIP Day (2/26).
We are hosting a Parent/Family Night on Thursday, March 12th, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the cafetorium. We are sure to have fun playing Math Bingo! Prizes and refreshments will be available. Further information will be sent home soon. Space is limited, so sign up as soon as you get the Google form!
Our character trait for the month of February is Kindness.
Our Spirit Day this month is called “Wild about Kindness Spirit Day. Dress like your favorite animals. Will we see a lot of lions?
The 100th day of school is Friday, February 7th. Dress like you are 100 years old!
We are participating in the Food Drive for Gloucester City Helping Hands. Please send in any donations from February 10th through February 21st.
The PTO Scholastic Book Fair will be held from February 10th through the 14th.
Remember that school is closed on Monday, February 17th for President’s Day.
Again, I am very happy and excited to be here at Cold Springs. Feel free to reach out to me at any time.
GO LIONS!

Happenings in 206: We used Google Docs to publish our writing pieces and Google Images to research business logos before creating our own. We also learned about Helen Keller, practiced using American Sign Language, and got to feel Braille letters and words.
