Review
A four year old little girl name Cece, starts her crazy adventures at a new school. Even more so of be at a new school, she soon starts to realize she is death. Now she having to wear a giant hearing aid strapped around her chest. At the new school she see her self as being different. Knowing that the kids are staring at the Phonic Ear, this is a aid that will help her hear her teachers. It also too bad that she having a hard time making new friends.
But she soon discovers that she can hear everything that her teacher say and do not just in the classroom, but also anywhere her teacher is at in the school. Like the hallway, teacher lounge, and even the bathroom! This is very powerful, so powerful that she is almost close to becoming El Deafo, a listener for all. But the funny thing is of having superpowers, is you still feel left out and alone. Can Cece use her powerful powers to find a true friend?

Awkward middle-schooler Penelope Torres has moved to Berrybrook Middle School. She already had her first day, and lets say it was a disaster. After tripping accidentally in the hallway, she’s assisted by Jaime, a shy boy who is always teased at school. Together they’re both are teased by the bullies about being a couple. Embarrassed at her situation, she pushes the boy away, telling him to leave her alone. Awkward and El Deafo are the same because they both have trouble on finding true friends, and also dealing with being the new kid at school.

El Deafo and This One Summer are the same because they both have too face a huge problem in their life. As El Deafo is dealing with earing and This one summer is dealing with fighting.
