Monday 10/11:
- 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm (5:45 arrival): Full Band and Guard Rehearsal
Wednesday 10/13:
- 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm (5:45 arrival): Full Band and Guard Rehearsal
Thursday 10/14:
- 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm (5:45 arrival): Sectionals: Drumline, Front Ensemble, and Woodwinds.
Saturday 10/16: GRASSO FESTIVAL!!
- 11:00 am to 10:00pm (10:45 am arrival)
Sunday, 10/17: Grasso Festival Raindate.
- Hopefully this rain date will not be needed.
- Start time would be around 2:00.
Saturday, 10/16: The 25th Annual Joseph P. Grasso Festival
OUR HOME SHOW HAS ARRIVED!
11:00 am - 3:00 pm (10:45 am arrival): Full Band and Guard Rehearsal
3:00 pm: Break
- Snack shack will be open to purchase lunch/dinner.
3:00 pm - 4:30 pm: Senior Portraits
- Seniors should have all signed up for a portrait time. If not, please email info@nhsbandguard.com ASAP.
NO LATER THAN 5:40 pm:
- Arrive at Blue and Gold Stadium for the National Anthem and to watch other bands.
- Wear uniform pants, marching shoes, long black socks, show shirts, and wind breakers.
- Sit in the section of the stands closest to scoreboard (where we sit for football games.)
6:45 pm:
- Winds, Drumline, and Guard meet in front of F Wing entrance in FULL UNIFORM with instrument/equipment.
- Front Ensemble meets in the Band Room and immediately moves to warmup area.
6:55 pm: Move to warmup area
7:00 pm: Preshow warmups
8:30 pm*: PERFORMANCE
9:00 pm*: Awards
9:15 pm*: Clean up

PIT CREW NEEDED FOR GRASSO HOME SHOW!
- Everyone's working so hard on the Home Show, and we still need 20 people for the Pit Crew! Some of our key Pit Parents are locked into other jobs, so we need YOU to pitch in at 7:50pm, please. Go here to get details and sign up.
BAKE SALE ITEMS NEEDED FOR GRASSO HOME SHOW!
- EVERY family is asked to please donate two dozen generously portioned and individually wrapped desserts for the Grasso Bake Sale. Cookies, brownies, cake, etc. Drop off donations by 4:00 pm to the bake sale tent at the top of the stadium.

- Did you know that our budget is determined by the number of students in the fall program, as well as what we project to earn from fundraising activities? If you haven't already paid your fall balance, we need you to complete this immediately. Unsure if you have a balance? Email info@nhsbandguard.com, and we can check for you. Thank you!
- Remember, the next NHSBPC Meeting is on Monday, Oct. 18 @ 7:45pm in the Library. We'll do a hot wash of Grasso, talk about the Memorial Day Parade, pies, the bus to & tailgate at Nationals and the Banquet. Holy cats! You don't want to miss it!
- Jeremy Voegeli is running a Percussion Showcase for students in grades 5-8 during the first half of the Grasso Festival. Please reach out to friends or family who might like to learn more about joining the Drumline or Front Ensemble. No experience necessary! For details, please email jeremyvoegeli@gmail.com.

National Memorial Day Parade!
Below are the links to register for our Memorial Day Parade trip. Information on this amazing opportunity was sent in last week's Smore and Mr. Ovsiew's and Ms. Hiscavich's full letter can be found in the attachment section below. Please remember to complete these forms by 10/20.
- Students interested in going on the trip should complete the Band and Guard Memorial Day Parade Student Commitment Form on Google Forms. As stated in the form, students should submit their deposit by 10/20.
- Parents interested in going on the trip should complete the Band and Guard Memorial Day Parade Parent Form on Google Forms. No parents should submit money until notified by the NHSBPC.
Lyman Orchards Pie Fundraiser
Mmmmm....Pie! Our pie sale is a great way to earn band credits which can be applied to your Memorial Day Parade trip! And you earn approximately 40% of online sales, too. (Online sales from the "Simply Shipped" category are shipped directly to the purchases, so your family and friends don't need to be local to support the Band & Guard! Set up your Online Profile to establish your personal fundraising page, then send the link out to get more supporters involved.
- Keep selling those pies! This is a great way to raise funds toward the Memorial Day trip!
- Lyman Orchards Pie Fundraiser starts Monday Sept 27, 2021 and runs to Oct 18, 2021.
- The order form is attached below and is available in the Band Room.
- All pies come frozen, so have room in your freezer or deliver them the night of pick up.
- If someone does not want a pie see if they will donate a pie to the Faith Food Pantry. They do not have to pick which pie we will select the pie.
- Online fundraising is available at this link. This is a great way to sell to distant family and friends!
