The Ingram Insider
Family Edition, February 2023
We have been focusing on "the power our words have" during our social and emotional lessons at school.
You can help us at home by:
1. Emphasizing the results of positive words.
2. Brainstorm positive words about a family member and put them on paper.
3. Model the power of positive words.
4. Use positive words to build an acronym of your child's name.
5. Talk with your child about the words they use in games (shoot, kill) and how those are not appropriate at school.
6. Ask them about the challenge they were given at school and who they spoke 5 kind words to.
Here is a read aloud that was made for one of our social emotional lessons. Feel free to sit down and watch with your kiddo. Link

Around The Building
Counselor Appreciation, Mrs. Hernandez
Mrs. Hernandez has been a counselor at Ingram for six years. She is a support to our students and staff in so many ways. We showered her with the same love she gives us each day.
School Officer Appreciation, Rick Rosenblad
Officer Rick is new to Ingram this year, and he has been such a great addition to our campus. He builds positive relationships with our students every day and makes us feel safe.
🎉Positive Office Referrals🎉
Students can earn a positive office referral from their teacher by showing respect, having a great attitude, being responsible, working hard, being honest and showing self control!
Jesse (JJ) Pimentel
Jesse has been doing a wonderful job participating, raising his hand, waiting to be called on, following directions and trying his very best every day!
Abi has been a great friend to her classmates and she helps everyone when they need it. She asks questions in class so that she can get a better understanding of the lesson.
Class Attendance Reward
Each class is spelling out PERFECT ATTENDANCE on the board in their classroom. A letter is earned when all students are present in the classroom for the day. This will continue for the remainder of the school year.
Congratulations to Miss Babovec, Mrs. Ramirez, Mr. Forkner and Ms. Callaway for spelling PERFECT ATTENDANCE this month!
