Straight A Lunch
The Mill Creek Community School Corporation will honor students in grades 3-12 who earned straight A's during the first semester of the 2019-2020 school year Thursday, February 6th with a lunch in the Cadet Center. Congratulations to all the students who earned straight A's during the first semester! We are proud of you and thankful for your hard work!
Winter Sports Seasons
Winter Sports Seasons are winding down and teams are preparing for the IHSAA state tournament. Our wrestlers competed in the sectional tournament last Saturday and advanced 5 wrestlers to the regional tournament this Saturday, February 8th at Mooresville. The girls' basketball team begins sectional play on Tuesday, February 4th at 7:00 p.m. at Western Boone. They will be taking on the #2 ranked team in the state. The girls' swim team will be in sectional action Thursday, February 6th and Saturday, February 8th at Avon. The boys' swim team will have their final home meet Tuesday, February 4th and then will swim in the sectional at Terre Haute on Thursday, February 20th and Saturday, February 22nd. The boys' basketball team has several more home games and will compete in the sectional at Southmont in March. Good luck to all of our student-athletes as they complete their winter sports seasons!
Winter Semi-Formal Dance
The Cascade High School Student Council will be hosting a Winter Semi-Formal Dance on Saturday, February 22nd from 7-10 p.m. in the Cadet Center. The theme for this year's dance is The Roaring 20's. Cascade High School students can purchase tickets in advance $5.00 or at the door for $7.00.
Pennies for Patients
The Cascade High School SADD club is once again collecting money to donate to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society through the Pennies for Patients campaign. Please consider donating money that your students can bring to school to donate to this worthy cause. Our goal is to collect $4,000 this year for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society by February 21st.
The Cascade High School Guidance Department will be hosting parent meetings in the Performing Arts Center beginning at 7:00 p.m. The meeting for parents of 11th grade students will be Tuesday, February 11th and the meeting for parents of 9th and 10th graders will be on Wednesday, February 12th.
The next Cascade High School PTO Meeting will be held in the media center at the high school on Tuesday, March 10th at 7:00 p.m.
The Mill Creek Community School Corporation will be closed on Monday, February 17th in observance of Presidents' Day. There will be no school at Cascade High School on Monday, February 17th.
The Mill Creek Community School Corporation will be closed March 23-April 3 for Spring Break.
