Why is Peter Tchaikovsky worthy of study?
Peter is a very interesting composer, first of all because of his child hood traumas since he constantly missed his mother he could also be considered mad, but he is the creator of the 1812 Overture and the nutcracker. Not only that, he was officially recognized in the U.S. to after his performance at Carnegie Hall. In the book One Page Composer Biography, it states, "Peter Tchaikovsky was a handsome and vain man. He agonized over his music... He completed his first symphony at age twenty eight{with only six years of musical education}... He always had a feeling it wouldn't be good enough." In other words, Pete was as insecure musician.That spent his later years creating music. Also he is considered GA interestingly he only had a few lesson on piano before becoming a clerk but he soon wrote his first symphony.
