Peter Tchaikovsky

Why is Peter Tchaikovsky worthy of study?

Peter is a very interesting composer, first of all because of his child hood traumas since he constantly missed his mother he could also be considered mad, but he is the creator of the 1812 Overture and the nutcracker. Not only that, he was officially recognized in the U.S. to after his performance at Carnegie Hall. In the book One Page Composer Biography, it states, "Peter Tchaikovsky was a handsome and vain man. He agonized over his music... He completed his first symphony at age twenty eight{with only six years of musical education}... He always had a feeling it wouldn't be good enough." In other words, Pete was as insecure musician. That spent his later years creating music. Also he is considered GA interestingly he only had a few lesson on piano before becoming a clerk but he soon wrote his first symphony.

Peter was born on May 7, 1840 in Votkinsk, Russia right into the romantic era.In to a family of many brothers and sisters, when he was 14 he was sent to boarding school of law. This started his childhood traumas which inspired his music. After finishing the academy he went to work at the St. Petersburge musical conservatory at twenty-one he wrote his first symphony, but with support from madame van beck he wrote the eighteen twelve overture Nut cracker Swan lake Romeo and Juliet. Also he performed at Carnegie Hall during its grand opening. Which brings me to my question, How would you descried the titans of industry? Peter died on November 6, 1893 in St. Petersburge, Russia because of cholera. If he had been alive today he'd wonder why such fast songs had ever been invented. Also he would have hated sharing music electronically because it defeats the purpose of traveling.
