Envisions Math

We are continuing to learn about the relationship between multiplication and division. Please have your child practice their multiplication facts at home. Even 5 minutes per day will make a difference. The goal is for students to know their facts fluently. We will be having our Topic 1 test next week. Thank you for your support!

*This year, I will not be sending a copy of the test home ahead of time. We will be doing daily practice in our math books, as well as on the practice sheets. They will be coming home daily with your child.

We went out to the hives this week - amazing! Check out the pictures on our Loopy Learners Facebook page. We also went to Mr. Wilfer's room to observe the honey extraction from the combs. I posted some questions on our FB page about the hives that you can ask your child.

This week our class talked about how our actions affect others. We are also working hard on our book reports. Each student picked out a chapter book and be doing a report on it. We have a food theme going.... More information and pictures to come. Ask your child which book they picked!

This week, we went on a rock hunt! We brought our rocks back and have worked on identifying them by observing their characteristics. We are also learning about the rock cycle. See if you can find rocks at home and determine if they are sedimentary, metamorphic, or igneous!
