Homecoming Dance UPDATE

Due to circumstances beyond our control, the location for this year's Homecoming Dance had to be changed. The new location for the 2017 Lawrence High School Homecoming Dance is the Sheraton Bucks County Hotel Ballroom in Langhorne, PA (across the road from the Oxford Valley Mall and Sesame Place).

The date and time will remain the same: Saturday, October 21, 2017 from 7:00-10:00 p.m. As a reminder, tickets will be sold during all lunch periods beginning Monday, October 16th. The price will also remain the same: $40.00 (cash only, no returns or exchanges).

We're hoping for a great turn out at our new location! Great music, great food, and a great time for all!

Change in Action

The LHS Change in Action student group is made of up students striving to build a sense of belonging, acceptance, and confidence in their peers. Although much of what they do often is "behind the scenes," it was hard to miss their presence last week while strolling the hallways, as you probably noticed the hundreds of post-it notes stuck to lockers, walls, and doors throughout the school. On "Positive Post-it Day," members of the CIA group wrote encouraging messages on post-its and plastered them through the building in an effort to lift up others with words of support, hope, inspiration, and reassurance! But these messages didn't just uplift the students...staff and faculty were overheard remarking about how something so small had such a big impact on their day as well!

Thank you to the CIA group for your inspiring kindness (and creativity)!

For some more inspiration from the CIA group, check out the "Words to Live By" section at the bottom of this newsletter!

If you know of a student, teacher, or staff member that deserves a little extra recognition for doing something amazing, please send your submission to kroche@ltps.org. We're looking for unique achievements, exciting news, talent highlights, even random acts of kindness! If possible, please include a picture relevant to your submission.
