McClatchey Messenger FOR STAFF
WEEK OF September 10, 2018
Have a great Friday!
I hope to start visiting rooms regularly next week! I miss seeing the kids in action! I can't wait to see the patterns of power, phonics dance, and number strings/talks in classrooms!
Thank you for being flexible as we establish our routines. We had over 600 visitors for Grandparent's Week! That's a lot of company!
If I can help you in any way, please let me know. I hope to only be gone on Thursday, for our Principal Meeting!

SEESAW For Kinder and First
Please let me Germany if you decide to use this! I heard it was AWESOME!
We understand that there is a need for an interactive digital journal for Kinder and First Grade that is more student-driven and allows students to create in an independent, simple format. For this reason, we will allow Kinder and First Grade to have the SeeSaw app under the stipulation that Canvas will still be the learning management system.
All teachers, including K and 1, will still need to implement the Canvas 4: Announcements, Electronic Assignment/Submission, Quiz, and Discussions on a regular basis. These expectations are a part of the TTESS M*Powered Dimensions for walkthroughs and observations this school year. Canvas will remain our learning management system for all grade levels to ensure consistency across our district for our parents and students.
If you are in need of how to use Canvas in our K or 1st grade classroom, your MIT specialists are happy to model for you or assist in any way.
It could be a day or two before the SeeSaw app will appear in the kiosk for Kinder and 1st grade teachers and students.
