Keeping you in-the-know at Mariner High School
April 2021
Principal's Message
Mariner Families and Community,
We are wrapping up our second week of in-person learning at Mariner, and it has been wonderful to see students back in the building. Many teachers and students have commented that it has brought some new energy to their teaching and learning! As a reminder, if students don’t feel well or have any symptoms, it’s important that they stay home and engage in school remotely for that day. If we have a confirmed COVID case at Mariner, we will be contacting the students and families of those who may have been in close contact. Please continue to communicate with school if your student is not able to attend in-person classes. It’s important that we maintain accurate attendance at this time. I’m happy to announce that we will be having an in-person graduation ceremony at Goddard Stadium on June 11th. Seniors and families were given some initial information on graduation last week, and more details will follow soon.
The Mukilteo School District and Mariner High School want to hear from our students and families about your educational needs as we continue to plan for the future. Please join us this Saturday, May 1st during a Student and Community Forum on Zoom from 9-11 a.m. This forum will be led by Mariner student Joy Matthew and Kamiak student Rie Kim. You can Sign up ahead of time or find the link on the district home page an hour before the event. It is not required to complete this step, but it will help us get an estimate of participants and interpreter needs.
Once again, please don’t hesitate to contact the school or a teacher directly if you have any questions, needs or concerns. The building is open Monday-Friday from 7:30am-3:00pm, so feel free to stop by for any reason. We are here to support our students and families.
Go Marauders!

Stay Connected!
Information and news about Mariner High School are available in a variety of formats. This year, you will receive a phone message and email from the district if we close or delay school. This helps ensure we reach everyone, including those without an email address on file, before students stand outside at a bus stop, and before parents leave for work. If you added a text message number in the Blackboard portal https://mukilteoschooldistrict.bbcportal.com/ you would also receive a text message. As usual, school delays or closures will be posted on the district website and posted through FlashAlert, which also feeds into mainstream local news feeds.
