Boone Meadow Families

Thank you for your tremendous blessings and partnership throughout the 2019-2020 school year. The past few months have been filled with challenge, and this past week has been quite the whirlwind.

Team Meadow Parade - Wednesday definitely earned a place in the memory books! Team spirits were high after seeing your bright smiling faces throughout all our neighborhoods. I've placed a message below as a "shout out" to our safety partners. Whitestown Police and Fire knocked it out of the park, and Zionsville Police and FIre were able to join us for a bit as well. At one point, we even had some Indiana State Police troopers, as well as, Boone County Sherriff's department. It was through the tremendous support of our safety partners that we we able to be successful. The signs, the cheering, and the smiles really warmed our hearts.

Materials Pick Up - On Thursday and Friday, we were able to have a connection with families as they came through the line to pick up their items. Thank you to those families that shared notes, cards, and other gift items with staff members. We are grateful. It was a strange way to end the school year, but also proved to be a blessing as well. In all, about 550 bags of items were delivered to students and families.

Gratitude - I've included a message below regarding the generosity you shared with me over the past couple of days. Thank you, thank you.

More than ever, we are grateful for the active support system we have at the Meadow, and we all wish you a happy, healthy, and safe summer ahead!

Be well,

To Whitestown Police & Fire Departments (and all other safety partners too)

Mr. Crafton,

I need to take a moment to write a small note of gratitude. Please feel free to share with any from WFD or WPD who assisted us in any form in order to make our Team Meadow Parade a success. Today’s parade created a beautiful memory in our school community, and on behalf of the staff and families of Boone Meadow Elementary, we thank you and your colleagues for a job that was more than well done.

This pandemic has disrupted everyone. For our relationship-driven staff, they had no choice but to be strong, steady, and smart when moving the nuances of teaching to a digital/virtual platform. It was an incredible lift, and they flipped it overnight. Our families trusted and supported along the way. Throughout that journey, students and staff were desperately hungry to see each other. Your support made that connection possible today. Whitestown Fire Department and Whitestown Police Department provided support today that far exceeded our expectations. Through tears of gratitude, many of our staff said they would never forget these moments from today.

You helped make that happen.

Your team made that happen.

At one point, I saw Whitestown Fire Department, Whitestown Police Department, Zionsville Police Department, Zionsville Fire Department, Indiana State Police, and Boone County Sherriff’s Office all collaborating to clear roads and intersections so we could make our way without any glitches. This made our hard working team feel like royalty.

Thank you for your encouraging energy and excitement to help us pull this gig off without a hitch.

Bravo! Thank you for your partnership,

Tom Hundley

  • All kits will be delivered to your student's classroom prior to the first day of school.
  • PTO and the school receive no proceeds from the service. The desire is to simply provide a convenient service at a reasonable price.

We are re-launching our Kindergarten pre-registration for families. Feel free to share with others if you know of any families that still need to register their Kindy student for the upcoming school year. A few items to note:

  • If you already pre-registered for Kindergarten Round Up, you need to do nothing at this time.
  • We are currently accepting kindergarten registrations for families/students that have not yet registered. Please click on the link below to begin the registration process.
  • When we are able to return to school, our team will schedule a special time for you and your child to come to our school and learn about kindergarten. This Kindy experience will most likely occur this summer.

I can't thank you enough...

I am truly humbled by the generous spirit of our Boone Meadow community. I'm thankful for my school family standing shoulder to shoulder to be available in these confusing times. These past couple of months have presented a variety of challenges...yet we continued to weather this storm...together.

This week, you gave generously to bless me and my family. You had signs placed in our yard in the middle of the night, you gave to the Principal's discretion fund (flexibility to give back to staff/students), a handful of gift cards to some of our favorite places, and Jill' Cookies to boot!

I am blessed by you, and I am honored to serve here.

Thank you, my Boone Meadow Family,
