Reading Research and Resources - the three Rs

Please join us to be informed about the latest Oliver and Google Apps for Education news. Learn about immersive reading and reflect on the year's learning. Separate sessions for SASS staff so bring your library team.

Our local Oliver lighthouse keepers will continue with a hands on session followed by questions and answers.

Linda Boulton from Woolooware High will share her experiences with Oliver demonstrating circulation and cataloguing as well as answering questions about its implementation. Training modules will be available for hands-on experiences.

Google Classroom

11.30am - 12.30pm

In this hands-on session, Leanne Richards, TL at Loftus Public School, will demonstrate how Google Classroom and Google Slides can be incorporated into library programs.

“Parents - the untapped ‘power’ in children’s reading.”

12.30 - 1pm

John Walters, Educator / Researcher / Author, will talk about immersive reading, the latest developments in the teaching of reading and research and solutions from around the world.

Lunch

1pm - 1.45pm

John Walters will set up a resource display and be available to answer your questions during lunch.
