This is a reminder to all drivers that enter the parking lot at

Edison School of the Arts:

For the safety of all Edison families, staff, and especially students, it is extremely important that all drivers enter the Edison parking lot in a slow and alert manner while following the pattern of traffic. Vehicles should always proceed with caution and care while navigating through the pick-up and/or drop-off car line. Students should never be dropped off in the side parking lot to enter school with bus riders and parents should not park in the parking lot to escort students to the door. Students must remain in the car and can only be released in front of door 8 where the Edison staff are happy to assist your student.

We appreciate your support in keeping our Edison family safe!

The City’s rent assistance program is now open. Tenants are encouraged to submit their contact information to the waitlist currently on the site, as those on the list will have the first opportunities to apply. This assistance will cover up to 3 months rent including a combination of back rent dating back to April 1, 2020 for eligible Marion County residents. Access to applications and additional info is available at

Because Congress created this source of funds specifically for rental assistance, there are a few changes to this year’s program based on new federal program guidelines:

  • Household income limits: The 2021 program can only serve households at or below 80% of the area median income (tenants will need to provide proof of income documentation, which they were not required to do in 2020).
  • Proof of housing instability: Tenants must demonstrate that the COVID-19 pandemic has caused housing instability (this is a self-certification)
  • Copy of the lease: It is required to have a copy of the current, executed lease (electronic copies are sufficient, and we hope that landlords can supply them)
  • This year, in some cases, it is possible to pay tenants directly when landlords do not respond or refuse to participate in the program
