From School Administration
We are extremely fortunate to have educational partnerships at Lisbon Elementary School. Business partnerships benefit our school in many ways. Whether the business partnerships provide financial assistance, summer family food and fun evenings, or help enhance the curriculum, everyone benefits from these collaborations.
In addition to the wide range of At-Large partners, our school benefits from a group of businesses and organizations directly. Please support the organizations that partner with our school.
We would like to thank the following businesses and organizations for their commitment to our school and students:
- A-OK Mentoring-Tutoring
- Howard County Library System
- Howard County Library, Glenwood Branch
- Howard County Local Children's Board
- Howard County Office of Community Sustainability
- Lisbon United Methodist Church
- Sandy Spring Bank, Lisbon Branch
- The Grill At Lisbon
If you have any business or organization that would be a great partner with us, please reach out to me.
Mrs. Anoff

NEW INFORMATION
Hispanic Heritage Month
September 15 to October 15 is celebrated nationwide as National Hispanic Heritage Month. It traditionally honors the cultures and contributions of both Hispanic and Latino Americans as we celebrate heritage rooted in all Latin American countries. During this month and throughout the year, we, and our partners, share history, heritage, and accomplishments of Hispanic and Latino Americans of past and present.
Hispanic refers to a person who is from, or a descendant of someone who is from, a Spanish-speaking country.
Latino/a or Latinx refers to a person who is from, or a descendant of someone who is from, a country in Latin America.
Referenced from hispanicheritagemonth.gov
This month we will be exploring Hispanic Heritage Month through a variety of ways during our Morning Circles with the use of greetings, through rich literature by authors who are Hispanic or Latino, and/or through writing.
Check out these websites for more information about Hispanic Heritage Month and how you can celebrate virtually and at home!
Immediate Openings for Temporary Employees
This is a temporary position for the remainder of this school year. Temporary employees work on all days when students are in school, and are paid at an hourly rate. The hours are 8:35 a.m.-3:05 p.m. This position is great for a member of our community who wants to work while their children are in school. Temporary employees are contracted through a third-party agency and assigned to work with students to provide close adult supervision. If you are interested in learning more about the position, please contact Ms. Wright at lashonne_wright@hcpss.org or 410-313-5506.

GRADE LEVEL INSTRUCTIONAL PACKETS
The HCPSS Curricular Office created choice board packets for each grade level (kindergarten through fifth grade) to include content-specific instructional activities to help keep students intellectually active while at home when schools are closed for inclement weather, during quarantine, or other unexpected events.
The tasks that students complete at home will not be used for assessment purposes or counted as part of the students’ grades. Each instructional area included has a “choice board” of task options. During each day of quarantine or when we are closed for inclement weather, students should select and complete a variety of tasks from each instructional area “choice board”.
We wanted to ensure you had access to these choice boards; however, in the event your child has to quarantine, we will send a more robust packet home that is specific to your child's grade level.
Choice Boards:
CHROMEBOOK OBLIGATIONS
Beginning Monday, September 13, HCPSS will charge families for lost, stolen, or damaged devices per the following parameters.
