Psychosis 101
Presented by Ben Boone
"My Most Difficult Course"
Ben Boone was diagnosed with schizophrenia after experiencing its first onset on his own college graduation day. In response to his own experience with the diagnosis and subsequent hospitalizations, Boone has become committed to advocacy efforts to demonstrate that individuals with mental illness “can live meaningful and creative lives and make valuable contributions to society.”
With degrees in writing and publishing from Emerson College in Boston, Boone has published a book on his experience and speaks nationally and internationally, helping individuals and organizations to better understand mental health concerns and broader issues in the psychiatric care system.
