Welcome, Forest Park Families!

I am so excited to kick off the 2022-2023 school year as the Principal of Forest Park! As we begin the school year, I look forward to, and value our continued partnership. Whether your child(ren) is new to Forest Park, entering their final 8th grade year, or new to the district, our goal is to provide the best educational experience possible. I can't wait to connect with you more and meet you at our Open House night on September 15th. Families are also welcome on August 22nd or August 29th for our Open School Days (more information below).

I am honored that Forest Park is the place you chose for your child to learn and grow. I look forward to an amazing year!

Student Schedules

Student schedules are not finalized and our office staff and guidance counselors are working diligently to get this task completed as soon as possible. Some students and/or parents might be able to see all or part of their schedule listed in PowerSchool, or they may not see any classes listed at all. For those that can see all or part of their schedule, please know that changes could still be made as we work to assign classes to our new enrollments. If PowerSchool shows no classes listed, please know that this is an error and only reflects that schedules have not been finalized by our staff. When schedules have been completed, families will receive email communication letting them know they are available to view in PowerSchool. We hope to have student schedules completed by mid-late August.

6th Grade Transition Course

The 6th grade transition course provides incoming 6th grade students an opportunity to participate in team building activities, tour the building, set up their locker, complete a scavenger hunt, and do other activities to help create a smooth transition to middle school.

The dates and times for this course are:

Tuesday August 9th and Wednesday August 10th, 9:30am - 12:00pm

**Please note that transportation is NOT provided for this course.

Students must be registered for this course in order to attend. Please reach out to Mackenzie Phillips ( with any questions about the transition course.

Open School Days: Monday August 22nd & Monday August 29th

Open School Days offer a relaxed format for families to visit Forest Park to walk their student’s schedule, practice opening lockers and stop in the office to pay student fees, ask questions, etc. We highly encourage taking advantage of this opportunity!

**Please note, teachers will not be in the building on these dates and we require any visiting student to be accompanied by an adult.

Join us on Mon 8/22 or Mon 8/29 any time between 8am-4pm!

Open House: Thursday September 15th

Students and families are invited to Forest Park's Open House on Thursday 9/15 from 4pm-7pm. This is a great time to visit with teachers, tour the building and stop in the office to pay student fees. We will have no formal presentations from teachers during Open House.
