Girls Golf Wins Third Straight Conference Championship

The Girls Golf program continued their winning ways on Tuesday as they competed in the GAC South Conference Golf Tournament at Woods Fort. Our Lady Vikings brought home the conference championship for the third straight year and finished the day with four medalists. Next up for this talented group of golfers is the District Tournament. Good luck to our Girls Golf program as they compete in the post-season!

Football Beats Another Ranked Opponent

The Football program earned another win over a ranked opponent as they knocked off FZW 31-10 on their homecoming on Saturday. The Vikings have now won five straight games and remain atop the GAC South standings. Overall the Vikings are 5-1 on the season and are currently ranked #8. This Friday our Vikings will host the final regular season home game of the year against FHN. Good luck to football this Friday as they look to win their sixth straight on senior night.


Lower Level Update

Last week the JV Football team earned a 35-0 win over Ladue while the Freshman dropped their first game of the season to Troy. The Freshman are currently 4-1 and the JV is 3-1 on the year. Good luck to our lower levels this week.

Softball Wins On Senior Night

On Tuesday night the softball program faced off with FHN on Senior Night. Our hard working softball team earned a hard fought 14-4 win. Thank you to our seven seniors for all they have done for the softball program and for Howell. Good luck to the softball program as they finish up their regular season and prepare for Districts.

Boys Soccer Volunteers With SPENSA

On Saturday, the Boys Soccer program continued their involvement and outreach in the community by volunteering with the Special Needs Soccer Association (SPENSA). The soccer program took to the field to help young people with disabilities play soccer. The goal of is to bring the excitement and fun of playing soccer to players who traditionally have not had a place in the youth soccer system. Cross Country Travels To Great Louisville Classic & Medals Two

The Cross Country program made the road trip to the Greater Louisville Classic on Saturday and had another strong showing. The boys program finished 6th out of 57 teams and the girls program finished 12th out of 41 teams. The boys program was led by Nick Cimmarusti who medaled and finished in 16th place with his PR run and the girls were paced by medalist Sarah Russom who finished in 13th place with a new PR as well. Congratulations to the cross country program on a great weekend and good luck this Thursday in the GAC South Meet!

The JV Golf program finished up their season by bringing 3 teams to the JV GAC Tournament this past week. The Lady Vikings had four players that medaled at the conference meet. Girls Tennis Finishes Third In GAC Tournament

The Girls Tennis program had a strong two days as they hosted the GAC South Tennis Tournament. Our Lady Vikings finished 3rd overall and brought home championships in the singles and doubles portions of the tournament. Congratulations to all of our medalists below and good luck to tennis as they host FZN in the first round of Districts on Monday.

Band Finishes 10th At Blue Springs Invitational

Our Viking Band traveled to Blue Springs to compete in the Blue Springs Invitational. The competition featured a talented field that consisted of many BOA finalist bands across several states. The Band reached the Finals and finished in 10th place and was the second highest finalist from the St. Louis area. Congratulations to the Band and thank you to the many parents that made this great trip and experience possible.

Mandatory Winter Meet The Coaches Set For October 23rd

The 2019 winter season "Meet the Coaches" has been set for October 23rd. Eligibility paperwork turn in will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the high school commons with the meeting portion of the evening beginning at 6:00 p.m. All eligibility paperwork must be complete to be turned in. All students participating in a winter MSHSAA sponsored activity must have this completed prior to the first day of winter sports on November 4th. It is recommended that all paperwork be turned in at the "Meet the Coaches" event on October 23rd. To ensure participation on November 4th all fully complete paperwork must be turned in no later than October 31st at noon. A link to all eligibility paperwork can be found below.

The C Softball Team ended their season on a positive note as they rolled off a four game win streak and win six of their last eight games to end their season at 8-4. Thank you to all of our players, coaches and parents for their dedication this season. We look forward to a great 2020 season next year!

As the cold weather arrives a new shipment of Howell hoodies has arrived in the Activities Office. The hoodies are just $25 while they last. The Activities Department also has a limited number of fall and winter Nike apparel items as well. Drop by the Activities Office anytime during the before school, during the day or after school to purchase your cold weather apparel!

Theatre To Host Trunk-or-Treat

Francis Howell Limelight Theatre will participate in the International Thespian Society’s annual Trick or Treat So Kids Can Eat food drive by hosting a Trunk-or-Treat event on Friday, October 25 from 6:00 to 9:00p.m. The event will take place in Francis Howell High School’s front parking lot located at 7001 S Missouri 94, St Charles, MO 63304.


Prizes will be awarded for Best “Pre-Carved” Pumpkin, Best Decorated Trunk, and Best Individual and Group Costumes. Try your luck with the 50/50 raffle and by guessing the weight of the GIANT bucket of candy!!! You can also buy tickets for a chance to “Pie the Drama Club President”!


Troupe 1917 will be donating ALL proceeds from this event to the O.A.S.I.S. Food Pantry. This pantry serves the residents of Saint Charles County. They offer a variety of fresh, frozen and canned foodstuffs, as well as basic hygiene items to qualified recipients.
