Duke Energy Program Supports K-12 Education; Florence 1 Schools to Benefit
The Duke Energy Foundation has announced more than $340,000 in grants to support South Carolina K-12 education programs focused on summer reading loss, STEM and experiential learning. South Carolina High School League Votes to Cancel High School Sports for Rest of the Semester
High school athletes across South Carolina will be kept on the sidelines for the rest of the 2019-2020 school year.
Following Governor McMaster's announcement regarding school closings, the South Carolina High School League (SCHSL) held a virtual meeting, and the executive committee voted 15-0 to cancel high school sports for the rest of the school year.
At this time, there has been no word on if summer or fall activities will be impacted.
