High Expectations: Every Scholar, Every Day
A Word from Principal Haynes
Greetings Parents,
We are only TWO days away from our state testing season!! Beginning on Wednesday, our 4th and 5th graders will be taking the Florida Standards Assessment (FSA) in ELA, which is the reading test. Our 5th graders have testing for SIX days straight!! Please be aware of this and make sure they get a good night's sleep each and every day!! ALL of our G. 3-5 scholars need good sleep time during testing.
They have been working hard and each time we have our test days, they take it seriously. Please encourage them to give their FULL attention for these last preparation days. Every second counts for us to prepare our scholars. I need you to also talk to you K-2 scholars about behavior as well and focusing because they also will be testing in these next several weeks.
SCHOLARS NEED HEADPHONES FOR THE IREADY DIAGNOSTIC!! PLEASE MAKE SURE THEY GET THEM!! SIMPLE ONES FROM DOLLAR TREE WILL DO FOR NOW SINCE IT IS THE END OF THE YEAR.
Also, please take a moment to complete the annual parent survey!! Your input and feedback is important in helping us to know how we are doing. You can click this survey link or the one below to complete it.
Thank you for all you do each and every day for our Village. Your support is appreciated!!
Let's make this another great week of High Expectations--Every Scholar--Every Day!!!
Wishing you an AMAZING and BLESSED week!!

ID Badges
Parents, we are making sure that all of our scholars have ID badges everyday. These are not typically sent home. Remember it is DISTRICT policy that all scholars wear their badge while on campus. The school is responsible for replacing the badges up to 3 times (costs approximately $200 for each batch). After this, a cost will be charged for the replacement. Please talk to your child about not chewing on the badges/sleeves, not throwing them away, not bringing them home, not leaving it on the bus, and anything else that could cause them to lose it.
Student Uniforms
Village Elementary is a mandatory unified dress code school. For security reasons, it is expected that all students are in uniform, Monday through Friday with the exception of designated school spirit days which will be announced ahead of time. The student dress code guidelines outlined in the Code of Student Conduct will be enforced. Repeated violations of the dress code may result in A REFERRAL FOR DEFIANCE OF AUTHORITY.
