Moments in Ms. M's

This week...

This week we focused on our understanding of making generalizations, or general statements that we make after reading, that can be supported by facts from the story. We read a story and completed a blog post about the main character in our story, Stormi. Check out our blog below to see the great conversations we had.

We wrapped up our chapter on multiplication and division of decimals, we began our next chapter of writing and evaluating expressions! The students picked this skill up quickly and are excited about the change of pace and new skill!

We got a great amount of work done on our person of the year speeches! They are truly amazing. I cannot tell you how proud I am of the work the students have done, they are really proud of them and the information that they've been able to include in them. I can't wait for presentation day. Please remember to check the important dates below for some important pieces of the project and their due dates. Please also begin to think about helping your student create their costume for presentation day! Thank you!

This week we used our poll data to narrow down our invention choice. Next week we will be building our prototypes. Just a reminder to please send students to school Monday with materials to make their prototypes for our inventions. Another reminder, if you are interested in coming to school Tuesday, Wednesday and or Thursday from 10-11 to help with prototyping, please feel free! We could really use the extra hands!
