"As it is, these remain: faith, hope and love, the three of them; and the greatest of them is love." Corinthians, 13 – 13
Dear whānau, tamariki and parishioners,
Well I started this at the start of the week when our world looked a little different, just goes to show you never know what will happen.
Moving on to next week we will start our school week with online work. Class teachers will be in touch. Your teacher's email follows this pattern - firstname.surname@stmarys.school.nz. If you are unsure then use admin@stmarys.school.nz or annie.nelson@stmarys.school.nz
In response to last year's feedback we won't be running as many zooms. We are very much aware of the pull on devices and the drain on your internet download. The secret to our school and community success is that we have a shared understanding that you, as parents are doing your best, as you know we, as staff at school, are also doing our best. Last year's survey has also been revamped and is attached below. Please use the form to let us know how we can help.
Fr Jaime is planning to say Mass via zoom this weekend, a link will be shared on facebook.
God bless, kia kaha, Annie

Whole school Mass Sunday 12th September
Sacramental Programme - Preparation for the Sacrament of Holy Communion is on hold this week, but there is an online Mass being planned. More news to come.
29th August
First Holy Communion and St Mary’s whole school Mass is on Sunday 12th September (God willing!)
Te Ara Maria - Mary's Way (still planned, but wait and see)
"Sun 15 August the feast of the Assumption of Mary is Aotearoa New Zealand’s National Patronal Feast. It is being marked in a special way this year as a re-dedication of our country to Mary Mother of God Assumed into Heaven. There will be a national Mass in Wellington on Sunday 15th August at St Mary of the Angels and an art work especially commissioned for this rededication will be blessed and begin a hikoi around the country."
The hikoi will be in Gore on Thursday 26th August at St Peter's College and with St Mary's on Friday 27th August. We will be celebrating a whole school Mass that afternoon instead of the usual school assembly. The Mass will be at 1.30pm unless otherwise stated.
