2016 Delaware Coding Challenge

Spring Scratch Edition

Enter the Delaware Coding Challenge - Spring Scratch Edition!

We are excited to announce the launch of the second Delaware Coding Challenge sponsored by CSTA-Delaware. The mission of the Delaware Coding Challenge is to have Delaware students in grades K-12 demonstrate their computational thinking skills and STEM skills through the development of an original video game design. Students will compete individually or in teams against other students throughout Delaware.

In honor of Scratch Day (Saturday, May 14, 2016), this event is the 2016 Spring Scratch Edition. The theme for this competition will be Nature in the Spring. The video game idea must incorporate nature during the Spring season into the design of the game. Students will use any version of Scratch to develop their game. Students in early elementary (grades K-2) are eligible to use ScratchJr as long as they are able to share the program via email. Be as creative as possible with your video game design. Review the Competition Rules for the full guidelines for the competition.

Competition: May 14, 2016 - June 3, 2016

Registration begins on Scratch Day, Saturday, May 14, 2016 and continues until Friday, June 3, 2016.

All entries are due by Friday, June 3, 2016 at 5:00 PM.
